A retro-style teal coffee maker with a glass pot sits on a countertop next to two bright yellow mugs. The scene feels cozy and inviting.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have on site staff?

Yes, Shira and Shawn (owners/innkeepers) live onsite.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment methods are major credit cards and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). We also accept cash payments. A valid credit card will need to be on file in case of incidentals.

Is onsite parking available?

Yes, we have plenty of free, onsite parking. We are fortunate to have a very large parking lot. We are able to accommodate trailers. Advance notice can help us prepare if you are bringing large trailers or multiple vehicles.

Can your parking lot accommodate trailers or multiple vehicles?

Yes, each suite has one dedicated parking spot directly in front. We have a large lot that has plenty of room if you need to park a trailer or additional vehicles. Advance notice will help us ensure space is saved for any additional parking needs. You may not be able to park your trailer or additional vehicle directly in front of your room.

Do you have a restaurant in the hotel or do you offer room service?

No, we do not have our own restaurant onsite. We do have a neighboring restaurant in walking distance and are closely located to many restaurants. We do not currently have cook-to-order, menu-style room service. We deliver a hot, full breakfast to the room each day. We also have some other foods like a charcuterie board that you can purchase for in room delivery.

Is free WiFi available?

Absolutely! Yes. We do provide free wireless connectivity to all areas on the property.

Is the hotel wheelchair-friendly?

No. Unfortunately, Evening Shade Inn was designed as a bed and breakfast in 1992 and was not made with access ramps or enlarged doorways. Eureka Springs is slowly working toward becoming more and more accessible. However, it is a mountain ridge town that was created as a walking town in the late 1800s so much of the city is not ADA compliant. Sidewalks are old and uneven. It is not an easy town if you don't ambulate well. Eureka Springs has a lot of steep inclines.

Are you a pet-friendly place to stay?

Yes, Evening Shade Inn is pet friendly. We do have specific suites that are dedicated for pets.

Do you allow children?

No, Evening Shade Inn is adults only. We do allow teens 13 and up to stay in a suite with an adult. However, all of our suites have a maximum occupancy of 2 people.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.

Are meals included?

A complimentary, hot, full breakfast is delivered daily between 8:00-10:00 a.m. Room service with cook-to-order is not available. A few nearby restaurants offer delivery service and many have carryout.

Is Evening Shade Inn environmentally friendly?

Yes, we are environmentally friendly. We have recycling bins, energy efficient bulbs and appliances, recycled and biodegradable consumables, and minimize our carbon footprint whenever possible.

Do you have Jacuzzi tubs, jetted tubs, or hot tubs?

Every guestroom at Evening Shade Inn has a 2-person jetted tub inside the room. Evening Shade Inn does not have outdoor hot tubs.

Is Evening Shade Inn located within walking distance to downtown?

No, we are located about a mile and a half to the center of downtown. By car, you can be downtown in roughly a minute or two. We are also on a highway where there are limited sidewalks, so there is not always a safe pedestrian walking space.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Yes, with advance notice, we will happily make accommodations for dietary needs like vegan, vegetarian, diabetic, Keto, and food allergies.

Is daily housekeeping provided?

In order to preserve Arkansas' beautiful natural resources, and our energy to be the best innkeepers ever, housekeeping is available upon request. We automatically refresh guestrooms after two nights.
